I treat those who are impacted by our body-conscious, thin ideal, fat-hating society.

People who struggle to accept themselves & their bodies the way that they are. Those women & girls who have learned that they are not okay the way that they were born, the way that they grew, the way that they are now. Those who in an effort to manage the feelings of guilt & anxiety cope through the overuse or under use of food & exercise.

Through collaboration we engage hope and bring relief to the obsessive thoughts & constant anxiety. We work through the ambivalence and build a scaffolding of coping skills that allows them to become increasingly less & less dependent on food & exercise. They find that by knowing themselves better & identifying their true emotions they become more assertive & more in control of their lives.

Together we learn that it’s not about the food, that it’s really never about the food and endeavor to find out what it’s really about.
